Donna Herwat

Donna J. Herwat, 64, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, OH. She was born on July 24, 1959 in Toledo, OH to Sammie and Martha (Reardon) McNelley. She went to Libbey High School in Toledo. On October 10, 1992 in Toledo, OH she married Kenneth M. Herwat, and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2017. Donna worked as a cashier over the years for Food Town in Toledo, Community Markets in Oak Harbor, and Wild Wings in Oak Harbor.

Donna enjoyed music and TV shows, especially Blue Bloods and Judge Judy. She was a great cook and baker, and her Christmas cut-out cookies were the best! Donna and Ken liked to throw Halloween parties together. Donna always enjoyed a good Margarita cocktail with her daughter and she was a big animal lover, especially her cat, Oscar and her bird, Igor. Her daughter is going to miss her honesty, sense of humor, and her organization.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Mellisa Cole of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Donna will be cremated under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. There will be no services.
