Donald M. Wagner, age 83, of Whitehouse, Ohio and formerly a 40 year resident of Maumee, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on September 15, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence and Beulah (Keppler) Wagner. Don was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. Don started his working career with his father in the heating business and then worked as a Longshoreman for the Toledo Lake Front Docks, retiring after 34 years. He was known to be a perfectionist and a true jack of all trades. Don was a competitive bowler, liked cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and listening to Johnny Cash, whom he was in boot camp with. He enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, and fishing with good friends Art and Deanna. Don was also a member of the American Legion and the Maumee Elks. Don is survived by his wife, Donna née Whitmer; sons, Dann (Lori) and Dean Wagner; granddaughters, Heather, Brittany and Allison; great granddaughter, Addison and brother, Harold (Elaine) Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dolores. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 5-8 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time services at 11 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Rd. Whitehouse, OH or St. Jude, Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
