Donald Paul Sparks

Donald Paul Sparks, 58, of Maumee, OH passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009. He was born February 2, 1951 in Toledo to Donald Ray and Mary Jane Dickson Sparks. Don was a loving husband, father, son, brother and mentor. He was an incredibly Godly man that went out of his way for others. Don loved to travel the world. He loved to learn and had a vibrant mind. Don was always happy to teach anyone who was willing to learn. Don is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jennie Marguerite Royal Sparks, whom he married June 26, 1971; mother, Mary Jane Sparks; children, Paul Sparks, Laura Craig Soncrant and Jonathan Jessica Sparks; sister, Jane William Barber; brother, Dean Barbara Sparks; several nieces and nephews and his four-legged golden girls, Megan, Sadie and Kate. Don had many special friends in his life that he thought of as his family. Family and friends may visit Thursday 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am in the Church of the Cross, 1806 Cass Road, Toledo, OH 43614. The family requests memorial contributions to the Donald P. Sparks Scholarship Fund.
