Donald J. Opfer

Donald J. Opfer, 91, of Oak Harbor, died early Tuesday morning, December 11, 2007, in St. Charles-Mercy Hospital, Oregon. Donald was born November 28, 1916, in Graytown, Ohio, to Fred W. and Elizabeth Suhrbier Opfer. He was a 1934 graduate of Elmore High School. During WWII he served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Genoa American Legion. On May 3, 1941, in Elliston, Ohio, he married June R. Haskill, who preceded him in death February 28, 2003. He then married Kathy Lovell in Fremont, Ohio, on December 19, 2004, and she survives. Donald owned and operated Opfer
