Donald F. Mulinix, Sr.

Donald F. Mulinix, Sr., 99, of Oak Harbor, died Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born on November 3, 1914, in East Toledo, Ohio, to Bert F. and Alma (Davenport) Mulinix, Jr. On April 8, 1944, in Toledo he married Helen L. Carlton and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2010. Donald worked as a union projectionist for Parkside Drive-In Theater in Oregon, Ohio, for 33 years. He was a member of the Kaiser Frazier Car Owners Club, enjoyed playing shuffle board and riding his three-wheeled bike. Donald and his wife Helen enjoyed spending their winters in Florida together. Donald is survived by his loving family: son, Donald (Shirley) Mulinix, Jr. of Oak Harbor, daugher, Virginia Price of Ridgecrest, CA, step daughter, Darlene Skiver of Oregon, OH; many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Lucille Burgy, Alberta Johnson, Charlotte Hooks and Pat Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step daughter, Mary Mulinix, step son, William Leuck, and sisters, Dorothy Kiss, Alma White, and Donna Barton. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 N. Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
