Donald Moor

Donald L. Moor, 89, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH. He was born on September 27, 1919 in Wood County, Milton Township, the son of Herbert C. and Bertha Spoores Moor. On March 19, 1950 he married Ann Young and she survives. Don worked as a pipefitter for New Departure Delphi in Sandusky, OH. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army who served during WWII. Don was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480, American Legion Post #113 and the Moose Lodge #1610, all of Port Clinton, OH. He will be greatly missed by his loving friends and family. Survivors include: Loving wife of 58 years: Ann Moor of Port Clinton, OH; Sisters: Doris Miller of Eldridge, Iowa and Edmee Moor of Fremont, OH. Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Mildred Proska, Vera Holcomb Mabel Meinke, brothers: Maurice, Oral, Melvin, Paul Harold Moor, infant brother: Faye Moor. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Don may be given to Resurrection Lutheran Church, Port Clinton.
