Donald Kloss

Donald D Kloss, 93, of Toledo, Ohio, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, peacefully, on his beloved wife of 66 years birthday, after a brief illness. He and his wife spent the past two months together in Hampton Manor of Bedford Assisted Living facility.

Don was born on October 9, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Paul J Kloss and Elsie E (Meyer) Geiser.

He attended Nazareth Hall Military Boarding School, Central Catholic High School, and Ohio University. He served his country in the Korean war in the US Army.

He married Margaret (Peggy) A Rogers on May 16, 1958. Don was an accountant and controller for several companies and retired in 1994 from Independent Concrete Pipe.

Don was an avid golfer and previous member of Valleywood Golf Club. After retiring, he and Peggy enjoyed traveling, especially many trips to Las Vegas and Florida. The most valuable asset to Don was his family and taking care of them was a priority even in the days he needed to be taken care of himself. He always wanted to make others smile and had a joke to share at all times.

Donald is survived by his wife, children, Denise Larkins and David Kloss, grandchildren Joseph (Chrissy) Larkins, Paige Larkins, great grandchildren, Zadie and Saylor, stepbrothers Roger (Elaine) Geiser, Mike (Ruby) Geiser, Kevin (Holly) Geiser, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Jonathan Larkins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. with a graveside on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park (6382 Monroe St.) at the west gate.
