Donald Franklin Hetrick of Rocky Ridge, OH, died peacefully at his home on September 26, 2015. He was born in Rocky Ridge in 1939 to the late Lester and Florence Hetrick. Survived by sons Steve (Tiffany) and their children, Jonah and Julia, all of Park City, UT, Tim (Kelly) and their sons, Dylan and Weston, all of Beacon, NY. Sister Donna Mae Dipner, nieces Brenda (Butch) Fitzgerald, Vicki (Paul) Greener and Micki (Dan) Allen and countless other loving family members. He was enlisted in the US Navy from 1961-1966 and was a member of the American Legion Post 114. He later attended Tiffin University and worked 42 years at Brush Wellman (Materion) as a lab technician. On December 11, 1971 in Columbus, OH he married Martha Baumann, and she preceded him in death on July 23, 1987. Don loved to share the crops from his garden, play euchre and watch Ohio State Buckeyes football. Above all else, he loved being in the company of his family, neighbors, and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown to them. They would also like to thank the caring nurses and staff at the Cleveland Clinic and Heartland Hospice. Visitation will be at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St. Oak Harbor on Tuesday, September 29th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge on Wednesday, September 30th at 11 a.m. Burial immediately following at Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor with full military honors conducted by the Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114.
