Donald J. Gresbach, Jr., 80, of Catawba Island, and formerly of Westlake, passed away, Tuesday, October 30. 2018. Don was born on September 18, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. Don was active in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Port Clinton. Shortly after his retirement, he took on a part time job at Kroger’s, and then joined the Knights of Columbus as a facility manager. He became a 4th degree member and was pivotal in establishing the K of C’s biggest fundraiser, the “Perch, Peach, Pierogi Polka festival. Those left to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife of 60 years: Louise Gresbach; Children: Cheryl (Brian) Menoni, Paul Gresbach, James (Tammy Snyder) Gresbach and Julie Gresbach; Grandchildren: Ben, Andrew Frank Menoni, Michael Gresbach, Amanda (Brandon) Lassiter, Andrea (Michael Brelo) Gresbach and Nicholas Phillip Gresbach; Great-Grandchildren: Colin Keira Brelo; Sisters: Kathryn DuVergy Jane (Larry) Neimer. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 3-6pm, Sunday, November 04, 2018 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Family prayers at 9:30am, Monday, November 05, 2018, in the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, conducted by Father John Missler. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the Knights of Columbus.
