Donald D. Gallo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald David Gallo, who left us peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born on December 17, 1966, in Flushing, NY, Donald spent much of his life in Toledo, OH, where he touched the lives of many through his free spirit and passion for the outdoors. 

Donald was a proud landscaper, bringing beauty to countless yards and gardens. His love for nature ran deep. He found joy camping in Hocking Hills, where he truly felt at home amidst the trees and trails. He was especially close to his grandkids, who lovingly referred to him as Pop Pop. 

He is survived by his children, Bernadette Gallo, Kristofer Gallo; mother, Phyllis Gallo, and birth mom, Edna Burns; siblings, Nancy (Carl) Whitaker, Jeff (Amanda) Burns, previous wife, Teresa (David) Gallo; grandsons, Kolten and Niles. Donald was preceded by his father Raymond Gallo, and his birth dad, Jack Burns.

Donald’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, from family to friends who shared in his adventurous spirit.
