Donald Leonard Everhardt 74, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, March 15, 2022,. Don was born July 18, 1947, to Donald and Bertha (Havens) Everhardt and grew up in the Northwood area.
Donald was a Marine Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He later worked in the transportation industry. Don married the love of his life, Debra Miller on January 15, 1972, and they raised two amazing sons, Brett and Brad.
Don loved to travel. He visited several foreign countries and all 50 states, including many national parks. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and riding motorcycles. Anyone who knew Don knew he was a handy man who could build and fix anything. Don loved animals, especially his favorite dog, Peanut.
Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years Debra (Miller) Everhardt; sons Brett Everhardt and Brad (Sharon) Everhardt; grandchildren Lucy and Bradley Everhardt; sisters, Barbara Frye and Janet (Ken) Giaimo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd. Rossford, Ohio 43460 (419-666-1566) on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services with military honors will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 5725 Hill Ave. Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM inside the mausoleum.
