Donald E. "Donnie" Wilson

Donald E. "Donnie" Wilson, 74, of Genoa, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on June 2, 1946 in Corbin, KY to Luther and Ruth (Jones) Wilson. Donnie was employed at Marselux (Coulton Chemical/ChemTrade) for 42 years before he retired. He enjoyed playing guitar and liked to go 4-wheeling in his truck. Donnie liked working on many things as he was a man of many talents. Most of all, Donnie loved everything about cars, from building them to just tinkering with them. His pride and joy was a 1939 Chevy Master 85. He was involved with the Maumee Valley Street Rods Car Club in the 1970's-1980's. Donnie loved a good joke and thoroughly enjoyed family reunions and all the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. On December 18, 1966, Donnie married Rosemary Montgomery in Fairborn Ohio and they celebrated 50 wedding anniversaries before she passed on January 20, 2017. Donnie is survived by his son, Scotty Wilson of Genoa and sisters, Joan Kellerbauer, Jane Morgan and Judy (Charlie) Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosemary Wilson; son, Peter Matthew Wilson; sister, Janice Wilson; brothers-in-law, Marty Kellerbauer and Glen Morgan; brothers, Thomas, Steven and Timothy Head; and step-father, Thomas Head. Visitation for Donnie will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, 43430. A graveside service will follow, starting at 1:30 p.m. at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Face masks will be required and social distancing observed.
