Donald R. Druschel

Donald R. Druschel age 81 of Whitehouse, OH passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday June 28, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Don was born in Lancaster, PA on March 8, 1931 to Henry and Leona Klinger Druschel. Don was a proud veteran of the Korean War and earned a purple heart for his service. He was a member of the American Legion, Holland, OH and the Spring Valley Saddle Club. Don enjoyed horses, attending horse shows, metal detecting and building anything. Don built his own home. He was an active participant in organizing the Strawberry Festival in Holland, OH. Don especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Corene L. Druschel; daughter, Cindy L. Newman Charles Crowder; son, Michael R. Lisa Druschel; grandchildren, Jessica James Harrington, Joshua Newman and Stephanie Johnson; great-grandchildren, Logan, Tristan and Jera Harrington and Shondalyn and Taven Johnson. Also surviving is his sisters, Sally Jodry, Sue Leonard Bethel and a brother James Shirley Druschel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Jack.
