Donald K. Burrell, 76, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died in Bay Park Hospital, Oregon, Ohio, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Don was born September 23, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Ralph G. and Rosella M. Brooks Burrell. On November 9, 1968, in Williston, Ohio, he married Patricia Bodi and she survives. Don worked at L.O.F. Plant 6 in Rossford, Ohio, as a glass packer retiring in 1985 after 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war and was a lifetime member of the VFW-a former member of the Northwood Post and a current member of the Port Clinton Post. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Port Clinton and attended the Port Clinton Senior Center. Many of his pastimes included crosswords, attending Oak Harbor football games with his step son, Barry, and fishing with his son, Steven. Donald will be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his son, Steven Carla Burrell, daughter, Cheryl Burrell, step sons, Barry Lisa Reau and Charles Reau, two grandchildren, four step grandchildren, one great grandchild, and his sister, JoAnn Ferris. His parents and step brother preceded him in death. The funeral service for the family will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. Military graveside services will be conducted in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, Ohio. Memorial contributions for Don may be directed to the Port Clinton Senior Center in support of their levy.
