Donald E. Buck age 88 of Toledo passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 in Lake Park Care Center. He was born March 13, 1922 in Sylvania to Earl and Bessie Redrup Buck. A veteran of the US Army, he served in World War II with the Service Battery 372nd Field Artillery, 99th Infantry Division. Don was an auto mechanic for many years with the former Moore Ford, Donaldson Ford and Kindle Ford retiring in 1985. A former Boy Scout leader with Troop 24 he was a member of St. Catherines Mens Choir, Toledo Diocesan Choir and St. Clements Choir. Preceded in death by his parents and wife Loretta, he is survived by his daughter Janet Bob Oakley of New Hope, PA.; sons James Vickie Buck, Jeffrey Donna Buck of Owatonna, MN. and John Sherry Buck; grandchildren James Buck, Jr., Christopher Lisa Oakley, Tiffany Kevin Horvath, and Danielle and Stephen Buck; great-grandchild Jacob Oakley; brother Jack Jane Buck of Georgia; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lyn and Rex Parker of Phoenix Oregon. There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Clements Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
