Donald A. Brandle

Donald A. Brandle, 95, of Toledo, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Genoa Retirement Village. He was born on February 2, 1923 to Andrew and Lena (Theis) Brandle in Toledo, OH. Donald loved bowling, playing cards, watching and playing baseball, fishing, and feeding the birds. He also loved watching his two favorite shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Zella; and daughter, Karen York. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, GayElaine (Timothy) Rutkowski; grandchildren, Jenna (Ed) Jones, Chelsea (Mark) Meyers, Adam (Rachel) Rutkowski, Jaclyn York; great grandchildren, Bryan VanDorn, Cameron Meyers, Dominique Jones, Starra Halter, Mikayla Meyers, and Evan Rutkowski. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
