Donald R. Berning

Donald R. Berning, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at Promedica Flower Hospital, following a long fight with cancer.

He retired after working 30 years for Jeep and then worked at Advanced Auto as a parts driver for the last 15 years. He enjoyed camping, dominoes and going to the casino. He was an avid fan of Ohio State and the Red Wings.

He leaves behind his wife, Susan; his son, Matthew; and children, Joanna (Ernie), Patti (Shawn), Donnie; stepchildren, Steve and Sharon; and 5 grandchildren, Casey, Aiden, Emily, Mikayla, and Colin; 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Brenda, Connie, Gale, and Tom; and many other extended family members. He will be sadly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his honor.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
