Don Lee Wicks

Don Lee Wicks, 64, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born May 21, 1946, in Elmore, Ohio to Richard and Helen Kimball Wicks. Don was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Oak Harbor. He loved fishing and shopping, joking around with the staff at Riverview, and especially loved bologna, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread. Don is survived by his sisters, Sylvia Sue Wicks-Kimball of Oak Harbor, and Rosemary Richard Smith of New York, nephews, JamesPatti Essman, and JustinMary Essman, great nieces, Ashley Reyes, and McKenna and Madison Essman, step-brothers, Terry Jane Taylor, Barry Taylor, GaryLiz Taylor, Carey Taylor, and Jodi Cornelison, numerous cousins, and many step nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Norma Taylor-Wicks, and step-brother, Larry Taylor A memorial service for Don will take place on Thursday July 22, 2010 at the Riverview Healthcare Campus Chapel at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul United Church of Christ, or the Riverview Healthcare Campus.
