Don Finke

Don Finke, 71, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. Don was born on March 09, 1943 in Port Clinton, OH, the son of Theron R. and Ruth E. (Schrader) Finke. He operated a restoration business. Don received his bachelor’s degree from Capital University and then attended the Seminary. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Don was a member of CORD and a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. He was an artist and enjoyed watching sports. Don will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Brothers: Ronald (Sandra) Finke and Todd (Lindi) Finke; Sister: Cynthia (Ben) Simpson; longtime friend & companion: Jean Page and several loving nieces & nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 11-1pm, Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. James Lehman at 1:00PM, following visitation in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial donations in memory of Don may be given to CORD or St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.
