Doloris M. Rose, 87, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Thursday evening, May 26, 2016, at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor. She was born in Ross Township, Northwood, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence, Sr. and Emma (Smith) Heilman and was very proud of the fact that she was born on her mothers birthday, May 15, 1929. Doloris married Chester Rose of Genoa on February 23, 1946, in Walbridge, Ohio. After his death February 16, 1968, Doloris worked at Glausers Flowers, Dunn Chevy-Olds in Curtice as a new car detailer, and other area jobs. She was a very busy person, raising her children and attending her grandsons basketball, baseball and volleyballs games. Between games she loved making crafts, crocheting and making quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doloris didnt let her health slow her down, as she regularly attended the county fair and the derby. She didnt let her camera stop clicking, taking tons of pictures. She also went to all the Oak Harbor Apple Festivals and loved attending the Independence Day celebration in downtown Oak Harbor. Doloris loved sports, including the Buckeyes, the Indians and the Browns. Surviving Doloris are her sons, Donald C.E. (Alice) Rose of Northwood, Arthur E. (Donna) Rose II of Oak Harbor and Ricky L. Rose, of Toledo; daughters, Bonnie J. (Harold) Wadsworth, Sr. of Port Clinton and Debra L. (Bob) Jess of Oak Harbor; sister, Alice Heckathorn of Newcastle, PA, brother, Richard L. (Cathy Jo) Heilman of Toledo; and her pride and joy, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Gertrude E. Heilman, Joan L. Dille and Jacqueline Depew, brothers, Robert G. Heilman and Clarence H. Heilman, Jr., and granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Rose. Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, where the funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Interment will follow the service in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial donations for Doloris be directed to Mid-County EMS, the Portage Fire Dept. of Oak Harbor or the family.
