Dolores E. Waite

Dolores Elaine Waite (Dodd), age 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Manor at Perrysburg where she resided for the past 9 years. She was born on May 14, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Margaret (Clayton) Dodd. Dolores graduated from Jesup W. Scott High in 1944. She was self-employed as a housekeeper for many years. She also previously volunteered at WGTE-TV in Toledo, Ohio. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles Dodd Jr. and Robert Dodd, and granddaughter Lori Margaret McGhee. She is survived by her children Kathy (Thomas) Cook; John Waite; Richard (Sandra) Waite; Scott (Janice) Waite; Julie Burns; Christopher (Denise) Waite; Adam (Ardella) Waite; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dolores caregivers at the Manor at Perrysburg for all their care and compassion. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
