Dolores Nelson

Dolores Nelson, 91, of Catawba Island, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020 at her residence. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Beley) Meyer. She married Arthur Nelson on August 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death in January 2005. Dolores was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed making adjustments to garments by fixing tears, applying buttons, mending zippers, hemming, or making clothes for others to wear. She also enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, and living in North Fort Meyers, Florida for 12 years with her husband, Arthur. More importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (John) Netherland, Catawba Island, and Pat Hall, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Joyce) Meyers, Toledo, Ohio. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rick Hall. There will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place.
