Dolores L. Callahan

Dolores L. Callahan, age 92 of Sylvania, passed away on Sunday February 8, 2015, after a lingering illness at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence of Sylvania, OH. The daughter of Harold and Iva (Wingate) Orwig, she was born October 23, 1922 in Toledo. She was a graduate of Scott High School. She retired from W.T. Grant and Layne Bryant. Dee enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bill, to the Pacific Northwest. She was an avid reader as well. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bill; son, William Dennis Denny Callahan; her parents; parents-in-law and sister-in-law. She will be deeply missed by her son, John (Patricia) Callahan; daughter, Marisue Callahan and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Callahan. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday February 28, 2015 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where a memorial service will be at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to Ebeid Hospice or a charity of the donors choice.
