Dolas M. Harris

February 28, 1956 — October 14, 2024

We gather to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of our beloved Dolas Margaret Harris (Rollins), who left us unexpectedly on October 14, 2024. Born on February 28, 1956, Dolas was a beacon of generosity and kindness, always putting others before herself in every aspect of life—spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

Dolas attended Woodward High School before embarking on an adventurous journey with a traveling carnival, where she met her first husband, Woodrow Wilson Harris. They were married on July 30, 1973, in Toledo, OH, and their travels took them to Florida and Texas. Eventually, Dolas returned to Toledo (without him), where she dedicated herself to raising her two children and building a successful career at Chevrolet/Powertrain.

Her heart was filled with love for her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Dolas had a passion for her favorite soap operas, "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful," as well as "Survivor." She enjoyed the company of her many pets—cats, dogs, and even squirrels—and found joy in shopping at thrift stores and estate sales. But above all, she cherished the connections she made with people throughout her life.

Dolas lived life to the fullest, leaving a permanent mark on all who knew her. She is reunited in Heaven with her father Norman, mother Gracie, brother Dallas, sister Norma, niece Grace, nephew Joey, her best friend Bonnie, and countless other loved ones.

She leaves behind her cherished children, Dr. Melissa Harris-Martorana (Paul) and Mark Harris (Dana), along with her five grandchildren: Robert, Deziray (Donavan), Sophia, Cecelia, and Rosaria. She is also survived by her niece Angie Pippin, niece Tina Snow, nephew Michael Brown, her brother John Rollins (Tom), and John's children, Jeff Rollins (Nicole) and Jamie Rollins, along with many beautiful great-nieces and nephews.

Dolas may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts, evident in the countless loving memories we shared and the moments we will continue to cherish.
