Dixie L. Sharpe (Dolan) age 85 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on June 17, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, PA on May 29, 1938 to John J. and Lillian Ruth Dolan (Brown).
Dixie was employed at Heartland of Browning in Waterville as an LPN for 19 years until her retirement. She loved to cook & bake and passed many of her recipes down to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, but spending time with her family brought her the most joy of all.
Surviving are her sons, Eric (Hope) Broadwater of Talladega, AL, Michael (Tammy) Broadwater of Rossford, OH, Kenneth (Teresa) Broadwater of Painesville, OH, Jeffrey (Nichole) Sharpe of Walbridge, OH and step-son, Dennis (Darlene) Sharpe of Geneva, OH; daughters, Sandra (Ralph) Bess of Rochester Hills, MI, Teresa (Paul) Morton of Perry, OH, Kathy (Dale) Brunner of Delta, OH, Jody (Thomas) Starkey of Painesville, OH, and Tammy (Corey) Nelson of Wiersdale, FL. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, beloved sister-in-law, Mary Dolan of Pinellas Park, FL, and aunt and best friend, Beverly Headley of Mechanicsburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick G. Sharpe and brothers, Charles H. Dolan and John J. Dolan Jr.
Family and friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home 222 E. South Boundary St. Perrysburg, OH, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass for Dixie will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
