Diane L. Kearney

Diane L. Dee Kearney, age 71, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The daughter of Kenneth and Doris Wilcox, she was born December 8, 1944 in Toledo. After high school she worked for Columbia Gas and later began a medical management career starting at Flower Hospital and retiring from Alliance Healthcare out of Ft. Wayne. Tom and Dee raised their family in Whitehouse and later moved to Fremont, IN residing at Lake James for 18 years before returning to Maumee to be closer to their family. She loved to dance and choreographed several shows for various projects. She found great fulfillment in teaching others during her career. Dee was extremely talented at sewing, quilting and crochet, making treasured gifts for family and friends. Her greatest joy was family & friends and spending time with them. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas; son, Thomas (Lauren); daughter, Lynn (Rocco) Spino; grandchildren, Rocco Jr., Nicholas and Jessica Lynn; sister, Mary Aellig, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and Willard Wilcox. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Cancer Association.
