Diane Marie Holmes

Diane M. Holmes age 77 of Toledo passed away December 12, 2013 in Ebeid Hospice Center. She was born February 27, 1936 in Toledo to Harold and Ferne Naumann. She was an inspiration to us all. She faced many of her past health difficulties with great dignity and humor for 12 years. The widow of Fritz Holmes she was also preceded in death by brother Skip Naumann, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Dale Hanson and niece Emily Naumann. Surviving are her children Kelly John Hoover, Joe Holmes, Kris Tom Higgins, Amy Neal Mahoney, Megan Jeff Eberly and Molly Holmes; grandchildren John Tyler Stephanie, Stephanie, Caroline, Christopher, Jacqueline and Zach Hoover, Tommy and Michael Higgins, Maggie, Neal Mitchell, Emmie and Matt Mahoney and Jack, Henry, Ellie, Lily and Addy Eberly; great-grandson Patrick Tyler Hoover; and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are our angels, siblings, Judy Jerry Throne, Chuck Lyn Naumann and Mary Tim Casey, we thank you for everything that you have done and continue to do. We love you. A special thanks to Ann, Marcia and Helene, what can we say? You have been there every step of the way and to the nurses and staff of Wildwood Dialysis for their care. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Sunday from 1-7 PM where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo.
