Diane W. Green passed away at Parkcliffe Assisted Living Community, into the arms of her beloved savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 6, 2022, with her family by her side.
Diane was born on February 13, 1936, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Frederick and Elizabeth Willey. She was a graduate of Winchester Thurston School, in Pittsburgh, and attended Lake Erie College, in Painesville, Ohio, prior to her marriage on September 1, 1956, to William Green, of Butler, Pennsylvania. Diane lived in many cities from coast to coast while Bill was pursuing a sales & marketing career with Libbey Glass, ending up permanently in Toledo, in 1976.
Diane was an active volunteer for many years at Toledo Hospital. She was past president of the All Seasons Garden Club and a member of several Bridge clubs. She was a member of Highland Meadows Golf Club and enjoyed playing in the Nine Holers Group for over 17 years.
Diane was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She took great pride in the family that she and Bill created together. She always cherished the time she spent with her friends and family, making memories to last forever and the love she had for them was endless.
Most of all, Diane was truly a disciple of Christ, in her activities at McCord Road Christian Church and in bible study groups. She truly cared for people and her rewards were seeing them grow in devotion to the lord.
Diane is survived by two sons, William David Green, of Toledo, and Richard Frederick Green, of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Amy Green Parker and son-in-law, Craig H. Parker, of Toledo; grandchildren, Adam David Parker, Anderson Richard Parker, and Allison Elizabeth Parker. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; two brothers, Fred W. Willey, Jr., of Boston, and David C. Willey, of Pittsburgh.
