Diana Lolita Summers

Diana L. Summers age 87 of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. She was born in Washington D.C. on June 25, 1928 to James E. and Ora Belle (Cooper) Bathurst. Diana was a school teacher at Anthony Wayne Schools for 24 years retiring in 1988. Her memberships included Maumee United Methodist Church, Lucas County and Ohio Retired Teachers Association, Toledo Zoo and the Toledo Art Museum. Surviving are her sons, C. Russell (Alicia) Summers, Brian D. (Alice) Summers and granddaughter, Rachel. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Hal R. Summers and a brother, Lynn L. Bathurst. Family and friends will be received at the Maumee United Methodist Church 405 Sackett St., Maumee, on Monday June 20, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm.
