Diana J. Griffin

Diana J. Griffin, age 78, of Sylvania Township, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her residence. She was born on August 16, 1932 in Toledo to Christo and Stella Petcoff Stereff. She graduated from Waite High School in 1950 and the University of Toledo in 1953 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. Diana taught for the Toledo Public Schools for 28 years retiring in 1996. The last fourteen years, she taught the first graders at Lincoln Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, music, travel and the arts. She was a member of ORTA Ohio Retired Teachers Association and of St. Michaels in the Hills Episcopal Church. Diana was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and wife. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, John G. Griffin; children, Jeff Griffin, John Donna Griffin and Julianne Brad Sublette; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Michaels in the Hills, 4718 Brittany Rd., Ottawa Hills, OH 43615. Arrangements by the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory.
