Deuane D. Davis

Deuane D. Davis, 88, resided at the Ohio Veterans Home and formerly of Lakeside, OH and Findlay, OH, passed away, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, OH. Deuane was born on January 10, 1926 in Shadyside, OH, the son of Thomas J. and Martha Hellyer Davis. Deuane married Ledra May Karns and she preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. Deuane worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad for 42 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Deuane Cathie Davis and Jim Davis; 9 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. Deuane was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sons: Larry Lynn Davis & Gary Lee Davis. Friends may call from 10am-Noon, Wednesday, April 02, 2014, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by a Memorial service at Noon. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Deuane may be given to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
