Dessie Marie Shoemaker

Dessie Marie Shoemaker, age 69, of Toledo passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 14, 1949 to James Guerin and Lolabel Shoemaker and raised by her grandparents Edward and Dessie Shoemaker. Dessie grew up on Salisbury Road by the Quarry and worked as a telemarketer and also at the Sunshine Childrens Home in Maumee. She was a member of Calvary Church and also the Maumee Senior Center in Maumee where she attended many group events. Dessie is survived by her siblings, Linda (Dave) Flores, Cathy Thornburgh, Billie (John) Szczepanski and Joe Lathrop; step dad, Reginald Lathrop and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Marie; parents and grandparents. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family or Calvary Church.
