Denver D. Diebert, 74, of Genoa, died Thursday morning, February 20, 2014, in Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon. Denver was born May 3, 1939, in Woodville, Ohio, to Arthur and Almeda M. Hagemyer Diebert. On April 22, 1961, in Williston, Ohio, he married Linda F. Adams, who survives him. For 40 years he worked for D.J. Fulkert Roofing and had consulted with D D Roofing. He also worked for American Ship Building in Toledo. Denver worked on cars at home-a shade tree mechanic. He was a jack of all trades. His other pastimes included working word search puzzles and collecting pocket knives. Denvers favorite pastime was having his immediate and extended family close to him. He is survived by his wife, Linda, children, Kim Scaggs, Denver D. Penny Diebert and Tammie Scott Dehaven; grandchildren, David Diebert, Nickie Fetter, Chris Fetter, Brian Fetter, Jade Dehaven and Bishop Brandt; great grandchildren, Denver Diebert, Dominic Diebert, Sierra Wyamer, Nautica Farrell, Damien Farrell and Michael Wright III; and siblings, June Newman, Nancy Flick, Linda Tanner, Fred Diebert, John Diebert and Walter Diebert. His parents and sister, Mildred Taylor, preceded him in death. A memorial service for Denver will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014, at Genoa Christian Church, corner of 5th and Main Streets in Genoa. Memorials may be directed to the family. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
