Dennis R. Ray, Sr

Dennis R. Ray Sr., age 57 of Monclova, Ohio died suddenly on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was born January 6, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio to Orville and MayBelle (Small) Ray and on June 20, 1972, he married Connie Harris. Dennis retired in 2002 from Jeep after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local #12, Cousino Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In his spare time he enjoyed boating and loved camping at Sunset Cove, but what he loved best was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie M. Ray; children, Dennis R. (Candice) Ray, Jr., Sheila (Anthony Sr.) Watkins and Sonyia (Scott Sr) Ray-Bliss; 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brothers, Grant (Lois) Ray and Terry (Sharon) Ray as well as a sister, Darla Gross. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and MayBelle; brothers, Orville and Walter Ray as well as his sisters, Shirley Slone and Linda Likins. Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 2-9:00 P.M.and on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 9-11:00 A.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
