Born and raised in Flint, MI Dennis Kendrick Lloyd was a family man. A man of integrity and great honor. He was born January 25, 1981, son of Gregory and Brenda Shivers. Dennis attended public school excelling academically, and athletically where he met and fell in love with his wife, Mrs. Rickisha Lloyd of 17 years, whom Dennis adored. Dennis and Rickisha grew together facing the best and worst of times during their journey, and grew more in love with each day that pasted until Dennis last moments. Dennis courageously joined the Military Armed Forces after High School and served 4 years achieving the rank of E4 Corporal (Artillery), with his loving wife by his side. After his time in the Military Armed Forces, Dennis moved him and his wife to Toledo, OH to settle and begin growing their family. They were blessed with two children, Dezra Kennedy Lloyd, age 13, and Dillan Kashius Lloyd, age 6. As a veteran of the Army, Dennis pursued a higher education at Lourdes College graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Finance. Dennis worked hard and earned the accomplishment of Vice President at PNC Bank in Toledo, OH. With his achievements and success he made a name for himself in the community where his magnetic personality warmed all who knew him. Being an ambitious dreamer Dennis aspired to further his education and pursue greater business ventures. Dennis was planning to further his education, by pursuing a Master’s Degree while recuperating from. Dennis was always working on a plan to reach a higher goal, never idle and always planning the next move. Dennis was a devoted loving Husband and Father and all-around family man. Always spending time with his children and wife, he caringly helped his children with their homework, intimately showered his wife with sentimental gifts and love and he loved to cook for his family. He was a son, brother; nephew and friend that any parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and friends would be proud of, and always made time for his extended family and friends. Dennis legacy lives on through his children Dezra K. Lloyd and Dillan K. Lloyd. His memory will be cherished with his wife Rickisha Lloyd, Mother; Brenda Shivers, Father; Gregory Shivers of Flint, MI, Mother in law Maxine (James) Powell of Flint, MI, Father in law Rickie (Blanche) Harris of Auburn Hills, MI, Sister; Denika (Mark) Dalton of Grand Blanc, MI and dear to his heart, his sister; Eboni Shivers of Flint, MI, Brother in laws; Hershal Miles of Flint, MI, Rickie (Tiffany) Miles of Flint, MI, Kelly Harris of Colorado Springs, CO and many aunts, uncles, cousins (Special Acknowledgement to Constance Brooks who Dennis shared a fondness for), and friends (Mickey Hightower) and so many more. Dennis had a heart of gold, never failing to be there when a need arose with family or friends. He opened his home and wallet liberally to anyone in need, and loved to be hospitable every chance he was afforded. He dedicated his time and money seeing that others were cared for and happy. Being an outgoing people person Dennis could make anyone that he spoke with smile, laugh and feel better before he walked away. Dennis was a fighter and sought after everything he wanted and continued to fight until God called him home September 20, 2017. Dennis was preceded in death by his Father Dennis Jenkins, Brother Marcus Mosley Grandmother Flora Webb-Quinn, Aunt Marsha Davis, and Cousin Darry Lloyd. Dennis loved the saying: I will not go gently into that good night
