Dennis G. Kraynak

Dennis Kraynak, age 77 passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 12, 1940 to George and Theresa Kraynak. Dennis graduated from St. Marys Seminary High School, Pennsylvania in 1959. He graduated from Marquette University in 1963 with a BA in Speech and English. He then attended Northern Illinois University for grad school. In 1964, Dennis married Kathy and were married for 53 years. He was a popular high school teacher at Rocky River High School for 30 plus years. He was an avid reader and read to nursing home residents for years. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers and Browns fan. He especially loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter, Ann (Geoff) Bailey; grandchildren, Justin and Allison Bailey; sisters Anita Hatton, Terry Jo (Dennis) Whitcomb, Joyce (Freddie) Talerico, Jayne (Kenny) Koogle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, George Kraynak. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. John XXIII Catholic Community, Perrysburg from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
