Dennis “Denny” Michael Garvin, 60, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021, at Landings of Oregon Assisted Living Facility. He was born October 21, 1961, to John “Terry” and Elizabeth “Betty” Garvin. Denny grew up in Toledo, and graduated from DeVilbiss High School, Hocking Tech., and the University of Toledo. He worked for the City of Toledo for more than 30 years and retired as Commissioner of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry. His joys in life included his wife, Annette, and their children, Michael and Nicholas, hiking, music, and painting. Denny enjoyed helping others and teaching. He offered strength and guidance to many people of the years and touched the lives of countless children at his annual Ottawa Park Nature Camp. His unwavering faith in God was evident through his life choices, and in establishing and maintaining strong family values. Denny is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Garvin; children, Michael Terrance (Jenna) and Nicholas James (Natalie) Garvin; sisters, Sharon Eileen (Michael) Boehme and Colleen Marie (Robert) Culp; and many nieces and nephews.
