Dennis M. Douglas

Dennis “Denny” Mitchell Douglas, 77 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1945 in Lafayette, Indiana to Richard and Mary (Mitchell) Douglas. He graduated from Lafayette Central Catholic High School and Purdue University. He worked as a Divisional Sales Manager at Spartan Chemical in Maumee, Ohio for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He also proudly served in the Army Reserve for over 10 years. He was an avid Purdue Boilermaker and Perrysburg Yellow Jacket fan. He also loved golfing, traveling, telling stories, watching his grandson play hockey and his granddaughter cheer, and spending time with family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Penny Douglas; son, Eric Douglas and his wife, Julie; granddaughter, Morgan Douglas; grandson, Darian Douglas; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends and extended family members.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mick Douglas and Jerry Douglas; and sister, Colleen Butz.

Denny’s family sends a special thank you to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg for their kindness and comfort.

Visitation will be held at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home,222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg.
