Dennis A. Conard

Dennis A. Conard, 54, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Valley View Healthcare Campus, Fremont, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born on February 17, 1964 in Fulton, NY, the son of Daniel E. Starr and Gerry L. (Dean) Conard Daup On June 20, 1987 at LaPointe United Methodist Church, he married Shawn Rakosky and she survives. Dennis worked with FEMA and assisted with the Hurricane Katrina relief. He was a member of the Erie Twp. Fire Dept. Dennis was a community member and past president of the Ottawa County Fair Board. He served on the Walleye Festival Committee and the Harvest Festival Committee for several years. Dennis will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife of 31 years: Shawn Conard; Daughter: Christina Conard; Sons: Jason Conard and Brett Reyes; Mother: Gerry Conard Daup’ Sister: Ann Starr Sanford; Brother: Theodore Starr; Step-Brothers: Dennis Daup and Robert Daup; many loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and his Mother-In-Law. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, twin sister: Dawn Starr, brother: Daniel Starr and step-father, Garold Daup. A Graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Chuck Kaylor at 10:30am, Saturday, August 04, 2018 at LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, OH, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30am at the Erie Twp. Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory has assisted the family with arrangements.
