Dennis Z. Chui

Dennis Z. Chui, age 72, of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of Waterville, passed away January 8, 2017 at Heartland of Greenville. He was born June 23, 1944 in China to the late Mui Zhen and Sun Ho (Lee) Chui. Dennis moved to the United States in 1985 and became a chef at several different area Chinese restaurants. In 1992, he moved to Greenville where he opened the China Garden Restaurant, which he operated until retirement in 2008. Dennis was a hard working, easy-going man who liked to help others. In his free time, he enjoyed visiting the casino to play Poker and Black Jack. Survivors include his wife, Victoria (Tam) Chui; sons, Richard (Carrie), Ben (Jessie) and Chris Chui; grandchildren, Darren, Alex, Amanda and Abbie Chui; and a sister in China. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Chinese Association of Greater Toledo, P.O. Box 350445, Toledo, OH 43635.
