Dennis P Addy

March 7, 1957 — August 15, 2011

DENNIS P. ADDY Dennis P. Addy, 54, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Dennis was born March 7, 1957, in Lancaster , California to Dale Addy and Delores (Silliman) Haas. Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Pam Sheeks, on January 19, 1985, in Perrysburg, Ohio and they’ve been inseparable ever since. A 1976 graduate of Perrysburg High School, Dennis played Defense on the football team. Dennis was a diverse man; best known as a farmer, yet a successful and respected Sales Manager at Roeder Racing in Monroeville, Ohio, actually doubling sales from last year. Serious when he needed to be, Dennis was an incredibly fun-loving guy who was prone to a bit of mischief now and then. Although he loved farming, boating, and animals, his greatest passions were his motorcycles. Dennis will be remembered for his unselfishness and great ability to always give to others without expecting anything in return. He touched the lives of many, many children with his involvement in the 4-H Program and the Make-A-Wish Program, where children spent time with horses at his stables. He also was a member of the Perrysburg Masonic Phoenix Lodge and The Scottish Right. Dennis was a loving, caring husband, father and friend to many. He was bigger than life to most people; he touched and left his mark on those who were fortunate to know him. Along with his wife Pam and mother, Delores, Dennis is survived by his children, Stephany and Dennis, Jr. “D.J.” and D.J.’s special friend Jamie Kile; sister, Debbie (Tom) Zogaib; niece, Jessica Zogaib and nephew, Joe (Marie) Zogaib and niece-in-law, Lila Zogaib; and great friends, Sarge and Ricky. He was preceded in death by his father, father and mother-in-law, Dallas and Helen Sheeks; nephew, Jason Zogaib and best friend, Porky. Friends will be received Sunday, August 21, 2011, from 2-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a Masonic Service will be held at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, August 22, 2011, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Kerry Wood, officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation.
