BRIMMER DENISE HODDINOTT VERDON Photo On June 25, 2008, Denise Brimmer, age 45, our daughter, sister, mother and friend, was taken from us to finish her work with God in heaven. After a brief but strong fight, Denise lost her battle against cancer, but won the war by entering eternity to be with God where there is no pain or sadness. Denise was born on July 9, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Joanne Verdon. She graduated from Maumee High School in 1981, and was employed at Speedway in Maumee until her illness. Denise loved to socialize and play cards. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Denise was preceded in death by her father, Robert Verdon, in 1995, and her brother, Jeffrey Verdon, in 2005. She is survived by her sons, John Hoddinott of California, and Robert Hoddinott of Toledo, her mother, Joanne Verdon of Maumee, and her brothers and sisters, James Verdon, Edward Verdon, Vera Kiefaber and Jean Verdon. Special thanks are given to her brother, James Verdon and to her special friend, Andrew Paukin, for the love and support they gave Denise during her illness, as well as to her friends throughout the community, particularly Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, for the assistance and care provided to Denise and to her family in her final days. Your kindness and concern meant more than you could ever imagine. Denises family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 2-6 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee with a service celebrating her life to be conducted in the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. A private inurnment will take place for the family at a later date.
