DeLores F. Shessler, 99, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, after a long and active life. She was born in Clay Center, Ohio on July 28, 1923, the daughter of Albert E. and Anna C. (Jensen) Shessler, along with her twin sister, DeEtta.
DeLores was a merchandise coordinator for the former F.W Woolworth Company, starting at the Toledo store for 25 years and then transferring to the former Woodville Mall location from which se retired after 48 years of service. She liked to be active playing golf and bowling until recent years. She was an active lifelong member of the former First Presbyterian Church of Clay Center, where she was the session clerk and treasurer. She was always ready to lend a hand with any activity at the church.
DeLores was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Alice Shessler, Alberta Meyer, Margaret Williams, Ruth Kozina, and her twin sister, DeEtta Kunz, bothers, Alvey and Lyle Shessler. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation for DeLores is scheduled on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11:00, immediately following visitation, with burial in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
