Delores J. Bradner

Delores Bradner, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 29 following a period of declining health from a fall.

Delores was born September 8, 1935, in East Toledo's Birmingham neighborhood (Hungarian town) to Helen (Orosz) and John Joseph Pereszlay. She celebrated her 90th with a classic Hungarian meal from Tony Packo's, surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and dog lover. Delores worked as a secretary, an Avon representative, and wonderful homemaker.

She shared a lifetime of love with her husband, George, married right out of high school. She spent her adult life rooted in the Southside, where they had unforgettable summer pool parties for more than 59 years. The life of the party, they really enjoyed hosting and cooking delicious meals for all the holidays, celebrations, Ohio State football games, and weekly Sunday dinners.

Delores had a special gift for friendship, gathering many from the various clubs and groups her and George were a part of- R.E.A.C., Maumee Eagles, Damper Campers and the Pinochle club, meeting monthly at each other's homes for 40 years to play cards. She really enjoyed the gambling trips, especially to their timeshare in Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George; her children, Jeffrey and Debra; siblings Richard Pereszlay of Arkansas, and Joan Anello; Sandy (Frankie) Green and other loved ones who now welcome her home.

Delores will be laid to rest at a later date, reunited with her husband, daughter, and son.

She is survived by her loving granddaughters Courtney (Kori) Fett and Brittney (Cody) Rider; great-grandchildren Isabella, Oliver, and Miles; along with many extended family members Jackie (Marty) Wegman, Janice (Bob) Wahl, (Donna) Pereszlay and those who will carry her memory forward.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Petri Lutheran Church of Bryne road where she was a longtime member or a charity of the donor's choice.
