Delcie M. Geer

Delcie M. Geer, 83, was reunited with her loving husband in Heaven on Monday, July 25, 2022. She was born in Toledo to Earl and Harriet (Kolakowsi) Birr on April 22, 1939. Delcie attended Whitmer High School and married her best friend, Harold Geer, on May 27, 1958. Together they had 4 wonderful children and spent as much time together as possible. She worked as a crossing guard for Hopewell Elementary in Toledo for many years. Delcie was a BINGO professional, card playing fanatic, and sports enthusiast. She loved Rod Stewart concerts and camping. Traveling, family reunions, and sidewalk sales were some of her favorite events. As an outspoken woman, Delcie had a sense of humor that will never be forgotten. Peppermint patties were a constant in Delcie’s life, always cherishing the sweet mint.

Delcie is survived by her cherished children, Harold (Cindy) Geer, Jr., Bradley (Karen) Geer, David (Kim) Geer, Sharon (John) Wiesend; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lynda (Jerry); Maxine (Ken, deceased); Barb (Earl, deceased); and countless extended family members and friends. Waiting patiently in Heaven for five months is her husband, Harold Geer.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills.
