Debra L. Taylor age 58 of Maumee, OH passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Debbie was born in Toledo on June 27, 1955 to Jack and Margaret (Frahn) Wineland. She was a 1974 graduate of Start High School and went on to graduate from The University of Toledo. She was employed as a Respiratory Therapist at area hospitals for over 10 years. Debbie was a free spirit who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved her front porch on Latonia and chatting with friends on the phone for hours at a time. An avid swimmer, Debbie racked up over 300 miles in the Red Cross pool and prided herself in staying in the best of shape. She enjoyed rides into the country to go stargazing, taking in the 4th of July Fireworks, attending her daughter’s dance recitals or her son’s soccer games. Debbie also enjoyed trips to Toronto to see live theater performances and was a huge fan of figure skating. She was a collector of Hallmark Christmas Ornaments, kiddie cars and Barbie Dolls. Among other things Debbie instilled in her children a deep appreciation for reading and education. Her proudest moments were watching her children graduate and become successful adults. Debbie was a devoted Mom, a loving wife and adored her grandchildren. She had a deep faith rooted in her experiences growing up attending summer camp at Pilgrim Hills in central Ohio. In her later years she developed a great appreciation for the time, energy and devotion showed to her by her husband Tom. Debbie blazed her own trail in life and leaves behind a legacy that we are each created uniquely and perfectly fine the way we are. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Tom Taylor; son, Nate (Lisa) Taylor; daughter, Brittany (Scott) Schulze; grandsons, Landon and Luke Schulze; parents, Jack and Margaret Wineland; siblings, Dewey (Marsha) Wineland, Diane (Tom) Hoover, Dale (Maureen) Wineland, Don (Pam) Wineland and Amy L.
