Debra Ann Milefchik Mathews, 62, of Oak Harbor died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN. She was born on June 5, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Arnold J. and Ardeth A. Farr Milefchik, and they survive. On June 6, 1981 in Port Clinton, OH she married William Michael Mathews, and he survives. Deb worked in various departments at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton for over 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Deb was an avid reader, had a great love of horses, and enjoyed catching up with friends and classmates on Facebook. She had a heart of gold and her sense of humor was one of a kind. In addition to her parents and loving husband of 32 years, Michael, she is survived by her daughter: Brianne Mathews of Oak Harbor, brothers: Chris Linda Milefchik of Sandusky, Dave Donnah Milefchik of Clarkston, MI, Eric Ezzat Milefchik of Santa Monica, CA, and Dan Maria Milefchik of Long Beach, CA, and sister: Amy Tim Goetz of Oak Harbor, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and foster sister: Barbara Jaggers. A gathering of family and friends will be 2-8PM, Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH. Funeral mass will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Debra may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Lupus Foundation of America.
