Debra Jane Bondelier, age 63, of Maumee, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. We trust that this devout and faithful Christian woman is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Debbie was born and raised in Toledo, having graduated from Bowsher High School. She worked for the Toledo-Lucas County Library for more than 25 years. In her retirement, Debbie was a dedicated caregiver for both of her parents. In her spare time and after her parents moved into a retirement facility, she enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, sewing, knitting, reading, attending TOPS, actively participating in activities at Calvary Church, and spending time with family and friends. In her youth she enjoyed many camping and canoeing trips. Two childhood friends in particular have been very special. After many years apart, she recently reconnected with Rosanne Beaverson and Cheryl DiMartino which proves that true friendships never really end. Another childhood friend Ann Warchol has agreed to take her two dogs, Lil bit and Maya, and her beloved cat Misty went to her neighbor Ruth. Debbie is survived by her mother, Mary Fran Bondelier; brother, Daniel (Sandy) Bondelier; nieces, Carly and Desiree Bondelier; nephew, Damian Bondelier; aunts, Dodie Blake, Pat (John) Merren, and Annie (Tom) Stubbs; uncle, Robert Kopp, numerous cousins, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bondelier; nephew, Brody Bondelier; aunts, Elbee Baird, Ellie Brogan and Betty Allion; uncles, Jack and Frank Bondelier, and Billy Kopp. The family would like to express their gratitude to Debras closest friends, neighbors and family members who provided practical help and emotional support throughout her illness, to the compassionate nursing staff on the 4th Floor at UTMC, and for the wonderful care she received at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers. the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or The American Cancer Society Northwest Region, 740 Commerce Drive, Ste B. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
