Dean Lind, age 83, of Naples, Florida, died Saturday, August 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lind, loving sons, Stuart Lind of Hopkins, Minnesota, and Roger Lind of Wayne, Pennsylvania, and 11 grandchildren. He was born in 1928 in Jerusalem Township, Ohio, and graduated from Clay High School in 1945 and from Ohio State University in 1950. After graduation he served in the military during the Korean War. In 1953 he joined the Sun Oil Company as Territory Manager in Toledo, Ohio, and shortly afterwards married Frances Johnson of Williston, Ohio. He remained at Sun Oil for 36 years, during which time he held various executive positions. In 1988 he retired and moved to Naples, becoming very active in charities and churches in the area. In recognition of his outstanding service to the local community, June 28, 2011, was declared Dean Lind Day by Floridas Collier County Commission. Visitation for Dean will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio.
