David L Warner, age 82 of Maumee OH passed away October 7, 2017. Born David Wiewiorkowski to Alex Wiewiorkowski and Jean Sandham in Goodells MI on August 17, 1935. Dave graduated from Lakeshore High School, St Clair Shores MI in 1952. He was a Journeyman Tool Die Maker and retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1996. David received numerous awards for NRA Competition Shooting in Michigan and Camp Perry. He loved fishing, golfing, Bay Point, and loved to tell stories. David was a member of Northern Light Lodge #40, St. Omer Commandery #59 and recieved the Knight York Cross of Honor. He was also a member of the Triune Chapter 344, Order of the Eastern Star, Zenobia Shrine and O-Ton-Ta-La Grotto. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Jean, first wife Mildred (Sakowicz) Warner, 2nd wife, Nancy (Kern) Warner and sister Melissa Lozon. David loved all his children: Gerald (Sally) Warner, Sue (Greg) Sottek, Brian Warner, John (Brenda) Warner and StepChildren Terri (Mike) Gross and Doug (Tracy) Austin; Grandchildren: Michelle, Amanda and Emilie Warner; Robert, Matthew and Christopher Sottek, Michael and Jordan Warner; Sarah, David, Gabriel and Mikayla Warner; and Jack and Jeff Austin; and 4 Great Grandchildren. David is survived by siblings James (Diane) Warner and Doug Warner. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, OH on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Masonic Services at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Toledo on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Special Thanks to the staff at Genacross Lutheran Village at Wolfcreek. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
